MEET JESSE

I'm an actor and coach based out of Los Angeles. In the 12 years that I've been out here I've gotten to work on dozens of television shows including recurring roles on The Magicians, Glee, Underground and three seasons on the Emmy-Award winning series Justified. Film credits include 42, The Guest and the upcoming comedy Ideal Home, starring Paul Rudd. During that time I've had the immense privilege of acting opposite (and learning from!) actors such as Harrison Ford, Alison Janey, James Franco, Chadwick Boseman, Walton Joggins, Anna Faris, Andre Braugher, Christopher Meloni, and Timothy Olyphant, to name a few. My latest project is The Ballard of Buster Scruggs, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.

I've always loved working with fellow actors to create choices that make dynamic performances and captivating scenes (and book them work!) I worked for two different casting offices when I first came to Los Angeles; Dava Waite Peaslee (Weeds, Community) and Kendra Castleberry (Castle, Zoo,) so I really got a sense of what they're looking for in the room. I got to see which actors booked roles and why they were booking them, which was an invaluable insight that I was able to take to my own work, both as an actor and as a coach. On location actors are inevitably always self-taping each other for auditions to be sent back to LA or NY, and I found that actors I met on sets were calling me even when we'd be back in Los Angeles to help coach them through auditions or film them for self-tapes. It's become a true passion and I cannot describe the excitement I feel when one of my friends or clients book a job.
